These one-of-a-kind earrings are made in plique-à-jour, an ancient technique in which enamel is suspended in fine metal with no backing, so light passes through the color the way it passes through stained glass or dragonfly wings. They don't reflect light. They hold it. They glow.
Colors move across each piece in a full aurora spectrum. Greens, blues, purples, reds, oranges, and golds, shifting with every movement, every change in light. Slightly asymmetrical, because no two moments of the aurora are ever exactly the same.
Each plique-à-jour piece measures approximately ¾" long × ¾" wide, hanging from an argentium silver hoop, a tarnish-resistant, hypoallergenic precious metal with a brilliant white luster. Total earring length approximately 1½".
