There is a moment, watching the Northern Lights, when you stop trying to describe what you are seeing.
You simply look up. And you are undone.
This ring is that moment.
This one-of-a-kind aurora borealis band is made in fine silver, hand enameled in plique-à-jour in sweeping shades of green and purple, those most iconic colors of the Northern Lights at their most luminous and alive. The enamel carries no backing behind it. Light moves through it, not off it, the way light moves through the aurora itself, shifting and deepening and changing with every movement, every angle, every moment of the day.
And scattered among the enamel, like stars appearing one by one in a darkening winter sky, are flush set green diamonds.
Each one sits atop its own small fine silver mound, rising gently from the surface of the band, nestled among the glowing colors as naturally as if they grew there. They do not interrupt the aurora. They complete it. Small and brilliant and perfectly placed, they catch the light and throw it back in tiny sharp sparks of green fire against the sweeping dreamlike colors of the enamel.
Green diamonds are among the rarest and most extraordinary stones in the natural world. Their color comes not from trace minerals, as in most colored stones, but from natural radiation deep within the earth over millions of years. They carry the energy of growth, of renewal, of the living world. Here, set like constellations among the Northern Lights, they feel less like gemstones and more like something the sky itself placed there.
This ring is a size 9.
